Shetland grey fingerless gloves

I have hand-knit these lovely fingerless gloves using British Shetland wool in a natural grey brown.

The back has a narrow cable design, while the palm is plain. They have a ribbed cuff to slip under your coat to keep the draughts out. The gloves end in a band of rib, leaving your fingertips clear to use your phone or doorkey easily. The sweet little "Roses Workshop" brand label is laser etched faux leather.

They measure 19cm (7.5 inches) long including the cuff, 14cm (5.5 inches) for the hand section, and the knit is stretchy enough to fit most average adult hands.

I love working with the many different wools produced here from British breeds of sheep. The Shetland is a small breed from the Scottish islands. The wool is naturally many shades of brown and grey differing from sheep to sheep.
