MacLeod tartan Harris tweed cushion
This wonderful bright yellow cushion is made from the world renowned Harris Tweed hand-woven wool fabric in the MacLeod Tartan. This is the "Loud" or "Dress" Lewis style of the MacLeod tartans, rather than the more usual green and blue style.
It is generally held that Leod was the younger son of Olaf the Black one of the last Norse Kings of Man and the North Isles. Olaf died around 1237 and Leod inherited the Islands of Lewis and Harris with part of Skye.
The reverse of the cushion is made from the same Harris tweed fabric, plain apart from the Orb label, your guarantee of authentic Harris Tweed. It closes with a simple zip fastening along the bottom edge. This is the medium size, 41cm (16") square, to fit a 45cm (18") pad (not included).
